We started Specter with a bold vision: to build the Bloomberg of Private Markets. It's an ambitious goal, and we’re still at the beginning of this exciting journey. But our relentless focus on understanding and mastering the nuances of private markets sets us apart. We offer 3 things
- An environment where you have a real impact. Small team with lots of autonomy and few approval meetings. We dislike people management and the overhead required to manage large teams: we will build a huge product with a tiny team.
- Work that matters. We are rebuilding the data infrastructure for the Private Market. If we succeed, our platform will become integral to the entire tech ecosystem.
- There is a high density of talent. We hire less than <0.25% of applicants and consciously keep the bar very high.
We don’t offer
- Predictability. We are a startup. We learn as we go and adapt. We have plans and roadmaps, but accept that they will change as we learn new things. We’re not in love with our ideas—“strong opinions, loosely held”.
- 9-to-5. The flip side of being in a position where you have real impact. In a small team, people depend on you. Work will not be a predictable 9-to-5.
Office and Remote Work Policy
- We have an office in London, and the founders are working out of the office.
- If you’re in London, we’re looking for talents who desire to work in person. Most of our London team comes into the office every day; we're in Soho.
- If you’re not in London, we hire for fully remote roles in Europe or SEA.
